1st March- Adrian Kelly- Grade 2 – Maulin Djouce.
Next Sunday’s walk is led by Adrian and is a top end Grade 2.  
It isn’t too long at 15km , but the elevation gain is 1000m (depending on which option you take on the way back). Regular Grade 2 walkers should find pace and climb ok.
Route is straight up Maulin, down to the Watergates, and up to the top of Djouce. We come back the same way but have a choice on Maulin . Same route back is 1000m / 15.5km or you can turn off halfway up and come back with a view of Powerscourt’s waterfall ( 850m / 14.5km).

8th March- Kevin Creedon- Grade 3 – Trooperstown/Paddock Hill
We will walk through Ballard Wood to Trooperstown Hill. We will then pick up the Avonmore Way to Paddock Hill where where we join the Wicklow Way back to Laragh via St Kevin’s Church.

Justin’s will lead the following walk:

Meet at school / Church in Valleymount and we can carpool to the start of the walk a further 6 klms towards Wicklow gap.

Set out on a forest track and climb Silsean (Oghill east west mapping). On to Moanbane and down to Billy Byrnes Gap where we will have lunch. After lunch we will climb Mullaghcleevaun and descend the valley to the Glenbride area and loop back to the start of the walk.
Gaiters and poles are a must as good climbs / mucky and uneven ground in places and finishing off with a small river crossing to conclude the day’s outing.
